I have tried unplugging the keyboard and mouse and plugging in the the touch function of my monitor and it made no difference. i for one could not afford to pay for another round of MCSE courses to catch up to Windows 8. Although I have to say that at first it wasn't working because I kept trying to disable it in the services tab that is located in the task manager box. I can ignore it when working in the Command Prompt (unless I try to access something that requires Windows Explorer to open it, like the control panel, or the registry editor).
